Undermount Hammered Round Shell Bathroom Copper Sink

This round bathroom copper sink has a standard 1.5 diameter hole at the bottom center and it does not have an overflow system. It is designed to under-mounted or drop-in because its rim is flat. It has embossed a shell-like body, details can be observed in the pictures. From a copper sheet the wise artisan hands transform it into this unique piece. The hammer footprint is very visible. The reddish/oxidized texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique in use by the copper-smiths. This copper sink was raised with the artist hammer, there are no welded joints, as a matter of fact, the prongs were pulled out of the copper sheet itself.Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the copper-smiths still use, where no power tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. The finish is in a dark brownish color. Suitable for your bathroom, it will add a unique home accent making it a very special point of attraction in your bathroom. The copper sheet is 16 gauge (0.05" thickness). IMPORTANT NOTE: The patina can be damaged faster if any abrasive substance (whitening toothpaste, lemon or orange juice) stays for long periods of time on the sink surface, because of this, washing it after brushing teeth is recommended."
